The sweetest boy in my world.

I cannot believe my baby boy is 6 years old! He was our miracle baby. After two losses, my high risk pregnancy with him where I was in and out of the hospital, on strict bed rest, and on expensive meds, we were so happy the day he was finally born! I'm so glad we had good insurance in Texas! This boy cost over $60,000. And he is worth every penny and much much more.

Benjamin is such a good boy. He's sweet and kind, and he loves all the regular things that boys love. And one of my favorite things about him is how much he loves to giggle!

Canvas

Ha! I'm baaaaaack! I feel like I've been away from my blog forever. We had a crazy week filled with: concrete floor staining (twice), a quick visit to Brad's Grandma, a visit from Brad's parents for the week, sick kids, and much much more! Sadly, Brad's grandmother passed away 5 days after our visit. We're so glad we saw her one last time.

I'm quickly throwing myself back into photography this week!

Due to the recent canvas event, it had me thinking about how much I love canvas! My friend, Angela Sweeney brings her kids in regularly to be photographed and she has such fun canvases in her kids rooms. I love this arrangement with canvases she did in her family room. It looks beautiful on her walls!

Newborns

So it's no secret that I LOVE babies and kids. But newborns . . . they are just so much fun to photograph. Yes, their sessions are a lot of hard work. But it's worth it because they only look like newborns for a minute.

Then before you know it, they have morphed into babies with chubby thighs and bellies and they are full of smiles and giggles--which is my second favorite age to photograph!

I just love the way a newborn moves it's awkward little limbs in slow motion. And don't even get me started on the way a newborn smells . . .

And speaking of delicious smells, spring is in the air! I'm off to enjoy the great outdoors (my backyard & driveway) with my fam. Have a great weekend!

Eliza

Miss Eliza was a sweetheart for her session. She did amazingly well considering she's 5 weeks old! I can't get over the hair. In fact, I tried some other headbands, but nothing would stay on with all that softness! I think the smiling picture is my favorite.

Two brothers . . . and a sister!

These kids were so funny! The boys were calm for about 3 minutes. And then the silliness started! I love love love this first picture of the 2 boys. Sometimes it's difficult to catch boys being sweet. : ) Little Ava (love that name) is 3 months old and she was pure sweetness. This little family is all the way from Seattle. I hope you guys had a great drive home!

Jaxton

This sweet baby is the younger brother to Journee, one of the beautiful little girls I have photographed. Isn't he yummy? He spent his first week of life in the NICU and we're so glad he's home now with his family. We have some beautiful shots of him . . . but he was a little stinker in the process! He wasn't grumpy, just not in the mood to sleep. All 3 hours of his session were worth it, though!!

McKoy & Rylee

This cute family came all the way from Indiana. McKoy is 2 years old and has such a playful, easy going personality. Little sister, Rylee, is calm and sweet baby. She actually positioned quite well for being a month old!

Canvas Event Extended!

Hi, everyone.

I'll be taking next week off from shooting pictures so that we can finish that basement concrete floor of ours. Since I have that break in my schedule, it made sense to extend the canvas event to my clients I'm finishing up this week.

So if you are a previous client and want to still order, you can! My canvas event will be open through this Saturday, March 14th. Contact me if you have questions.

Canvases typically take approximately 3 weeks to arrive after I submit my order, which takes a few days.

Jacksen

This is Jacksen. And he's beautiful. But I guess I didn't need to tell you that . . . it's obvious! I still can't get over his gorgeous locks of hair. His mama is one of my good friends from high school and she traveled here from Utah for pictures. Oh, and I guess she wanted to see her family, too. : )
