Have your cake and eat it, too!

McKinley's adorable cake was made by Violets Custom Cakes and not only was it cute, it was delicious. The inside of the cake was layered pink and white, so it was cute all the way through!

Ella

Ella was a dream to photograph. I moved her around a million times and I still don't even know what her cry sounds like! And really, I don't know where all my beautiful clients come from, but I feel so lucky to work with such great people--inside and out.

Oh, and can you guess what my favorite new pose is?? I was showing this stork pose to my son and he loved it. But when I mentioned the stork, he didn't know what it was. So I explained it and he thought it was a silly idea because everyone knows babies grow in mommies' bellies and then come out. And he told me it also can't be true because he's seen pictures of the baby in my belly (ultrasounds) and he's felt it move! Ah, these modern times. But just for the sake of sweet pictures, we'll just say there's a stork. ; )

Family Session

This family lives in Peru--yes, Peru! Their children were so well behaved and acted so nicely, which kept my chasing to a minimum. Their session went smoothly and the weather cooperated perfectly.

On a side note, my schedule is just about packed full. I'm limiting the number of family sessions this year. We're expecting a baby at Christmas, and if this one goes like my other two kids, I'll be doing anything I can to avoid bedrest. I'm hoping that if I'm good and take it easy, I'll still be able to do newborns, babies, and children in the studio. I'll keep you posted as we go along. But for now, if you are thinking of scheduling a session--any type of session, contact me soon. The spaces are filling up fast!

Canvas Event!!

Time for another canvas event!! Actually, the time was supposed to be way back in June. But I was functioning at bare minimum for a few months there, so it was postponed. The good news is that more of you have an opportunity to order this time instead of waiting for the next event. : )

Cooper

Little Cooper was wide awake for much of his session. But it didn't matter because he was such a calm, cooperative boy. I usually have my absolute favorite pics from each session--not this time . . . I loved all of them!

Oliver

This gorgeous little boy is Oliver. Doesn't he have the cutest lips! He wasn't a fan of a few of my poses, but surprisingly enough, he was just fine with the one where he was suspended in the air!

I'm still here . . .

It's been a crazy week, but I'm still here! If you are waiting to hear back from me . . . you will! I'm wading through my emails, texts, and voicemails and I'll be contacting you tomorrow. Thanks to all my great clients--you make my job so much fun.

McKinley

McKinley is turning one soon and she is the easiest one-year-old I've ever photographed! She was smiley, made great eye contact, and was so very cooperative. How cute is that cake!?! Man, my job is so much fun!

I'm up to my eye balls with editing. And next week is going to be a real doozy--so it looks like I'll be stuck at my computer for awhile . . . in between the 18,000 loads of laundry!
