I love the details of a new baby. The wisps of hair, the wrinkly skin, the delicate eyelashes. It's all so perfect, innocent, and sweet.

These four canvases are hanging in my front entry. The best home decor you can have is photographs of the people you love. Seeing your beautiful family displayed every day in your home will make you happy. We all love to see pretty pictures--others who enter your home will notice!
I affixed the vintage bowl to my scale.
One of my favorite people in the world came to visit me over the weekend. Okay, she really came to see my kids. She's the baby of my husband's family. Melissa is always a joy to have around--she plays with my kids, does the dishes, takes care of the babies, and hangs out with me.

This little boy was in such a hurry to make his entrance into the world that his daddy ended up delivering him! I love this next picture--there's nothing that smells sweeter than a baby head. Technically I'm on maternity leave, but I'm loving all these newborn sessions--and there are more coming in the next few weeks. Yay!

She's now over a week old -- the days are going by so quickly. I wish I could slow everything way down. At least I have photos of her where she will remain tiny forever. She is the most amazingly sweet baby I've ever known.
Paris was scheduled for her newborn session on the day I had my baby girl. Her mama was patient with me and was willing to put things off for a week. This little girl came along after 3 older brothers. Something tells me she's going to get what she wants in life. : )

Anyone who has been a new mom understands that desire to spend the entire day gazing at their baby's beautiful face. I love this girl's petite little features.
I've had a few people ask where I got all the fabrics I've been using in my studio. They come from this fabulous girl in my neighborhood. Here's the link: The Little Fabric Shop
And speaking of handfuls, her 14 month old sister was outside the studio door banging and yelling at us to let her in. Yep, its been a bit of an adjustment in our home . . .
John Henry was only 4 days old at his session. I wanted to be sure to sneak him in before I have my baby. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. at birth and he weighed in at 8 lbs even on my scale (yep it's accurate!). Little John has a gorgeous head of hair. Congrats John and Stacy on a beautiful boy!
