{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} The little things

I love the details of a new baby. The wisps of hair, the wrinkly skin, the delicate eyelashes. It's all so perfect, innocent, and sweet.

{Idaho Falls Newborn, Baby, Child Photographer} Blessed

I'm one of those people who counts my blessings every day. I realize how wonderful my life is. But today I'm saying it out loud. Or rather typing it.

My husband is the most amazing and supportive best friend in the world.
I have 4 healthy, beautiful children who bring me so much joy. Our extended families and friends are awesome. And I have the PERFECT job! These four canvases are hanging in my front entry. The best home decor you can have is photographs of the people you love. Seeing your beautiful family displayed every day in your home will make you happy. We all love to see pretty pictures--others who enter your home will notice!

If you have had pictures taken, but they aren't on your wall . . . get on it! I'm always happy to help you get prints or canvases made.

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Worth it's weight

My baby . . . in a bowl given to me by her great grandmother, who used it to serve many salads over the years. My grandma didn't expect I would use it for salads--she gave it to me specifically to use in my studio. Because she's cool like that.I affixed the vintage bowl to my scale.
It's the perfect fit for weighing valuables. : )

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Addicted

My day just doesn't feel complete if I don't post a picture. Now that Nattie is two weeks old, our days in the studio for newborn pictures are just about over. But until she puts up a protest, I'll still be looking at her through my lens. : )

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} 2 weeks

As of 3:54 this morning, my sweet baby is two weeks old. It's gone by even faster than I had imagined it would. And I've loved every minute.

{Idaho Falls Photographer} Melissa

One of my favorite people in the world came to visit me over the weekend. Okay, she really came to see my kids. She's the baby of my husband's family. Melissa is always a joy to have around--she plays with my kids, does the dishes, takes care of the babies, and hangs out with me.

Isn't she a beauty? I am almost finished with my new studio, so we snuck away from all the kids for a few minutes to try things out. Melissa's getting ready to graduate from BYU and is moving to Arizona. And yep, she's single. : ) Her phone number is 801-664-okay, just kidding!

{Rigby Newborn Photographer} Michael

This little boy was in such a hurry to make his entrance into the world that his daddy ended up delivering him! I love this next picture--there's nothing that smells sweeter than a baby head. Technically I'm on maternity leave, but I'm loving all these newborn sessions--and there are more coming in the next few weeks. Yay!

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Comparison

In case it's been awhile since you've held a newborn, its easy to forget just how little they are. Here's a tiny reminder:These are my hands (which are pretty small) working on posing my baby for a shot.

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Just one . . .

When I was finishing the editing for John Henry, I fell in love with this picture from his session. Positively scrumptious!

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Where's the pause button??

Images from when my baby was 4 days new--she takes my breath away . . .She's now over a week old -- the days are going by so quickly. I wish I could slow everything way down. At least I have photos of her where she will remain tiny forever. She is the most amazingly sweet baby I've ever known.

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Paris

Paris was scheduled for her newborn session on the day I had my baby girl. Her mama was patient with me and was willing to put things off for a week. This little girl came along after 3 older brothers. Something tells me she's going to get what she wants in life. : )
Yes, those sweet little toes are painted!

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Babydoll

For Christmas, my in-laws sent this adorable antique doll cradle for my girls to play with. Is it bad that when I laid eyes on it, my first thought was to use it in my studio rather than thinking of it being for the kids?? It's just that my baby is about the size of the dolls my girls have and she looks so perfectly sweet in it!!Anyone who has been a new mom understands that desire to spend the entire day gazing at their baby's beautiful face. I love this girl's petite little features.I've had a few people ask where I got all the fabrics I've been using in my studio. They come from this fabulous girl in my neighborhood. Here's the link: The Little Fabric Shop

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Natalie

I thoroughly enjoyed having some downtime before this baby came. It allowed me to work on some ideas I've had in my head. I spent much time sewing, creating, and shopping for just the right props as you'll see throughout my different posts of this new princess.
And her name is Natalie . . . I kept forgetting to announce it and several of you have asked. So far, in all her 5 days in this world, she is a dream baby. Calm, sweet, and quiet.

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} Tiny

She's barely a handful . . .
And speaking of handfuls, her 14 month old sister was outside the studio door banging and yelling at us to let her in. Yep, its been a bit of an adjustment in our home . . .

February 8, 2011

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} She's here . . .

All 6 lbs and 19 inches of her arrived at 3:54 this morning. She's a perfect little peanut!

{Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer} John Henry

John Henry was only 4 days old at his session. I wanted to be sure to sneak him in before I have my baby. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. at birth and he weighed in at 8 lbs even on my scale (yep it's accurate!). Little John has a gorgeous head of hair. Congrats John and Stacy on a beautiful boy!
