When Melissa's mom called to see if I could do her senior pictures, I said "YES, please!" Gorgeous girl, pretty light, perfect weather. I'm loving photographing seniors--it's fun to switch it up sometimes!
Sweet little Keatyn - almost 3 weeks old but still so small. Her mama is already so deeply in love, and it's not hard to see why. Not only is this baby adorable, she smelled SO good!
For those of you that have been to my studio, you may remember my set of canvases above the stairs. I love those pictures, but the number of children in our family has doubled since those were taken . . . so it was time for an update. The timing was tricky--we had to wait until Natalie could sit up, but do it before Emily lost her two front teeth, and while everyone fit into their amazing outfits by Babes N Beads. This time of year is so great for outdoor sessions. The light is beautiful and golden and the temperature is just right.
The new collage that will make me smile every day:
The locks on this boy are pretty unbelievable! Brayden was 6 weeks old when we took these pictures and was such a good little boy. He let me do what I wanted with him for a few minutes before he woke up and shared some grins. He's perfect.
Cute, cute family. Not only cute, but photogenic AND super sweet. Not one melt down. Michelle, please keep having beautiful babies for me to photograph!!
Lexi's session was smooth and easy . . . once she finally closed those beautiful peepers! Baby girl was WIDE awake for the first while, and then once she zonked, she was gone. Just the way I like it. She could have slept in her daddy's hands forever. I always feel a little bad moving these tiny ones to a new position after they've settled in so nicely where they are. But not too bad, hence all the fun different poses. : )
I've recently acquired a new assistant for my studio. She is quite familiar with all the props and even tests them out for me on occasion. She's capable of bringing out the sweetest smiles of my models, too! Check out this happy little model:
Before we started, my assistant gave a little advice to the model:
Then she offered a little loving reassurance:
The best part is my assistant currently accepts payment in the form of bacon & juice boxes.
This girl has been giving me a few signs that she was ready for an official studio session, so we gave it a whirl. I'm so glad we tried because I am in love with these images. I could list a million things we love about this girl. So in honor of her 21 month birthday today, here's my dolly. And her dolly.
I'm a photographer located in Rigby, Idaho. My specialty is babies and children. I love to bring out the true personality of my clients. You'll find my sessions are fun and laid back!
